Key Accountmanager (1 fte)

Are you an independent, entrepreneurial and result-oriented personality who would like to work in an internationally growing company? Then our Essential Chemical Team looks forward to receiving your application documents for the position of Key Accountmanager. In this position you will report to the Business manager Essential Chemicals in Switzerland. 

Responsibility areas/Core tasks
  • International sales of chemical raw materials for the surfactant distribution markets
  • Driving the daily commercial business of our distributions partners
  • Supporting the development of the company distribution strategy
  • Volume, turnover and contribution margin - responsible for the allocated customers
  • Cultivating and developing long-term customer/distributor relations and acquiring new customers in the regions DACH, Benelux, Eastern Europe and Nordics
  • Providing intensive application-related consulting and support to existing and new customers in close cooperation with Product Management, Marketing and Research & Development
  • Developing new areas of application and introducing new products and technical solutions
  • Assuring sustainable, profitable growth in the corresponding markets through actively collaborating in the development and implementation of operational measures and projects in cooperation with the appropriate internal departments
  • Market and competitor observation and market potential analyses; developing authoritative plans on short and mid-term business development
  • Drawing up bids; pricing in line with internal specifications
  • Maintaining margins while simultaneously increasing the sales volume
  • Complaint handling in close cooperation with the relevant internal departments
  • Attending seminars, conventions and trade fairs including booth supervision
  • Participating in projects and in process teams
  • Representing the company in expert committees, institutes and associations as and when required
As a candidate you have the following knowledge, experience and competences;
  • Solid experience in sales towards distributors or another customer-related activity in the field of surfactants commercialized in various markets (eg. Industrial and Institutional Cleaning, and other technical applications)
  • A chemical education is preferred
  • Ability to define business processes and to handle efficiently distributors in many different region
  • Established customer basis and distribution network in the Benelux. Other European territories appreciated
  • Experience in Project Management is a pre
  • Ability to establish a Business Case and to develop different pricing models
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a confident demeanor
  • You can organize yourself well and have high team competences in order to achieve optimal results for our customers in cooperation with other internal departments.
  • Connected thinking, able to grasp complex information and communicate in a concise manner
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Switzerland
  • Fluency in English is needed; additionally fluency in German and/or Dutch is much appreciated
  • Living in the near area of Delden (NL)
What we offer

Working at KLK Kolb means working in a innovative, informal organization. The primary and secondary conditions are:

  • An all-in salary of € 70.000 - € 85.000 gross on a yearly basis (based on fulltime, depending on knowledge and experience);
  • At least 31 days off (based on fulltime);
  • Good pension plan;
  • Possibility to work hybride.
