• Lead the product portfolio across different chemistries- for instance: (poly)acrylates, esters, (poly)amides, polyurethanes across assigned market segments;
• Be the owner/project leader of the new product development process (stage/gate);
• Be responsible for custom manufacturing projects/products;
• Drive projects requiring investment (CapEx);
• Develop and execute pricing strategy;
• Identify customer needs and make the corresponding translations: product (chemistry), formulation, application for the development of new products;
• Monitor market trends and conduct competitor landscape analysis;
• Initiate product/market launch packages;
• Visit customers and exhibitions, together with sales managers, primarily in Europe;
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve product portfolio, production site and business targets;
• Support company projects as required;
• Together with the innovation team, you will contribute to innovative products that in turn contribute to sustainability and solve customer needs.

• You completed a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering education at University level and you preferably have knowledge of surfactants/specialty chemicals;
• You like to act with flair at the interfaces between all departments e.g. production, R&D, engineering, regulatory, sales, management and customer;
• You have experience within a market segment. For instance, Oilfield, Metalworking Fluids, Lubricants, or other technical markets (it is a pré)
• You have understanding and knowledge of the respective customer, application, formulation and market needs;
• You have a proven record of project management skills;
• Your interests and skills lie both in the technical and commercial aspects of a product development/introduction;
• It’s a plus if you have previous experience as a product manager, or within a Sales, Marketing, or R&D department/role;
• You have analytical and strong result orientation skills; 
• You can communicate effectively;
• You can make connections and are able to process complex information;
• You are clever and can independently act with high own initiative;
• You are a teamplayer with energy and integrity;
• You are fluent in English and fluent, or B1/B2 level in Dutch (speaking and writing);
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, primarily in Europe;
• You live in the Netherlands, preferably near Delden (OV);
• In possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willingness to apply for one.

Working at KLK Kolb means working in a fine, informal organization. The primary and secondary conditions are:

• An all-in salary of € 85.000 - € 100.000 gross on a yearly basis (based on fulltime, depending on knowledge and experience);
• At least 31 days off (based on fulltime);
• Good pension plan;
